Force 10G HL SmartCartridge is a high-load granular insecticide containing 10.0% Tefluthrin (Group 3A). It is designed for soil application to control seed-, plant-, and root-feeding insects in corn crops, including field corn, popcorn, seed corn, and sweet corn. The product is applied at-planting using in-furrow, band, or T-band methods to ensure a zone of protection approximately 7 inches wide and 5 inches deep around corn roots. This is a Restricted Use Pesticide due to toxicity to fish and aquatic organisms. It contains petroleum distillates. When handling, users must wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (barrier laminate, butyl rubber ≥ 14 mils, nitrile rubber ≥ 14 mils, or Viton ≥ 14 mils), a NIOSH-approved particulate respirator (or other specified respiratory protection), and shoes plus socks. If using a closed system, reduced PPE may be permitted under Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements. Always maintain vegetative filter strips to protect aquatic habitats and follow resistance management practices by rotating with different modes of action.
