Scepter 70 DG is a broad-spectrum herbicide designed specifically for use in soybeans. Its active ingredient is Imazaquin (70.0%). This product can be applied as a preplant incorporated, preemergence, or postemergence herbicide. It is effective against a wide variety of broadleaf weeds (such as Palmer amaranth, Pigweed, and Morningglory) and certain grasses (such as Foxtail and Johnsongrass), providing either control or suppression depending on the weed species and application timing. The herbicide can be applied via conventional, minimum, or no-till soil applications, as well as through aerial applications. When used postemergence, it is absorbed by weed roots and foliage. Users should note that there is a required interval of at least 90 days between herbicide application and soybean harvest. Handling requires specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves made of waterproof material, and shoe soles/socks. Users should avoid contact with water, surface water, or intertidal areas to prevent environmental contamination. Always follow specific directions for soil texture and application rates to ensure efficacy and crop safety.
