2,4-D LV6 is a solventless herbicide formulation designed for agricultural weed control, conifer release, site preparation, turf, and non-cropland weed control. Its active ingredient is 2-ethylhexyl ester of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid at an equivalent of 59.1% or 5.6 lbs per gallon. It is used to control a variety of annual and perennial broadleaf weeds in crops such as corn, soybeans, grain sorghum, sorghum-sudan grass hybrids, and small grains. It can also be used for weed control in various non-crop areas. Application methods include aerial and ground applications, with specific instructions for nozzle selection and drift management to prevent damage to non-target plants and aquatic invertebrates. Users must be cautious of environmental hazards, particularly regarding groundwater contamination and drift to sensitive crops like cotton, okra, or grapes. When handling, wear personal protective equipment including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves of any waterproof material, and shoes plus socks. Always follow specific mixing instructions, especially when adding fertilizers or adjuvants, and adhere to the 12-hour restricted-entry interval (REI).
